Members of Christian’s Men Fellowship of Our Saviour Anglican church, Awka, Anambra state on Saturday paid visit to Faith Community Orphanage Home, Awka the state capital, iNews Times reports.
The visit which was part of the group’s activities marking the 2025 Father’s Sunday featured donation of items including bags of rice, provisions and toiletries to inmates of the orphanage home.
Speaking during the visit, Chairman, Dr Izuchuwu Okeke said the orphanage home visit was a demonstration of love and care for the children in view of their conditions.
He commended the members that turned up for the visit, which he described as practical Christianity.
He also praised the management of the home for their sacrifice in taking care of the children, urging them not to relent in the good work which has heavenly rewards.
“We’re here to see the children and to show love to them as part of activities marking the fathers week.
“We came to encourage and pray for those whose responsibilities it is to take care of these children.
“These gifts we came with, though little are meant to assist in taking care of them,” he added.
Speaking on behalf of the management, Oluchukwu Agu thanked the men for the gesture, praying God to reward them abundantly.
