…as leadership tussle that previously stalled ADC’s political momentum ends.

ABUJA, NIGERIA – The iNews Times | The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has formally uploaded the updated list of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Working Committee (NWC), effectively confirming the leadership of Senator David Mark as National Chairman and former Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, as National Secretary of the party.

The new development marks an end to weeks of internal controversy and external delay that plagued the party’s leadership transition. A visit to the INEC platform by The iNews Times correspondent on Wednesday afternoon confirmed that the Commission had now recognised the new executive list submitted by the ADC’s National Executive Committee (NEC).

INEC had earlier cited a delay in accepting the list due to missing documentation, including specimen signatures of the nominated officers. The ADC, however, later clarified that it had provided all the required information.

With the Commission’s official recognition now in place, the leadership tussle that previously stalled ADC’s political momentum appears to have been resolved.

Party sources welcomed the move, expressing optimism that the new leadership under David Mark and Aregbesola would inject fresh energy and credibility into the opposition coalition.

This update also signals a possible shift in the dynamics of opposition politics in the lead-up to future elections, given the national profiles of the newly appointed figures.

As of press time, INEC has not issued an official press release but the uploaded list reflects full confirmation of the new executives.
