…African Action Congress says the tour aims to promote value-based education, moral, and responsible citizenship.
AWKA, NIGERIA — The iNews Times reports that the African Action Congress (AAC), Anambra State Chapter, has announced plans to officially unveil its Secondary School Tour across the state, aimed at mentoring and inspiring young students.
The initiative, themed “Train Up a Child,” is scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Awka.
In a statement, the Convener and Deputy National Chairperson (South-East) of the party, Chioma Ifemeludike, said the programme is being organised in collaboration with AG Foundations.
Focus on Leadership, Discipline, Nation-Building
According to the statement jointly issued by African Action Congress Anambra State Chapter and AG Foundations, the initiative is designed to engage secondary school students in meaningful conversations on leadership, character development, civic responsibility, academic excellence, and nation-building.
The organisers explained that the programme seeks to inspire students to embrace discipline, integrity, and social consciousness as essential values for personal and societal growth.
“The theme, ‘Train Up a Child,’ reflects our commitment to early mentorship, guidance, and the deliberate nurturing of future leaders who will contribute positively to their communities and Nigeria at large,” the statement read.
Promoting Value-Based Education
The African Action Congress noted that the statewide tour aims to promote value-based education, moral development, and responsible citizenship among students.
It added that the programme will provide mentorship, motivational engagement, and foster leadership consciousness from an early age.
The party also called on members of the public, education stakeholders, youth advocates, civil society organisations, and the media to participate in the unveiling ceremony.
“Together, we can shape the future by investing in our children today,” the statement concluded.
