Air India makes emergency landing over bomb threat

…the pilot radioed air traffic control reporting the bomb threat message found on board.

The iNews Times brings you report of another dramatic events involving an Air India flight from Phuket, Thailand, to New Delhi forced to make an emergency landing on Friday shortly after takeoff due to a bomb threat discovered on board.

This development comes just 24hourse after a devastating Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, India, which claimed the lives of at least 265 people.

According to the Thai airports authority, the pilot of the Airbus A320 aircraft radioed air traffic control reporting the bomb threat message found on board.

The iNews Times gathered that the flight tracking data from FlightRadar24 reveals that the plane made a swift U-turn over the Andaman Sea soon after takeoff and circled multiple times before landing safely back at Phuket International Airport.

The flight had taken off from Phuket at 9:30 AM local time with 156 passengers on board.

Upon landing, all passengers were safely evacuated from the plane as a precautionary measure.

Authorities conducted a thorough search of the aircraft but did not find any explosive device.

The investigation is however ongoing, with a focus on identifying the source of the bomb threat.

The latest incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of air travel, particularly in the wake of yesterday’s Air India crash in Ahmedabad.

The aviation industry is taking these threats seriously, and measures are being implemented to enhance security protocols, iNews Times reports.
