…neither the police nor the Dangote Group has issued an official statement regarding the tragic incident.
ENUGU, NIGERIA – The iNews Times | Just days after the death of Ruth, sister to former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna, in a crash involving a Dangote truck, tragedy has struck again, this time claiming an entire family in Enugu State.
The fatal incident occurred at the busy Four Corner Junction in Enugu, where a truck reportedly belonging to the Dangote Group rammed into three vehicles, crushing them and leaving multiple people dead.
Eyewitnesses say one of the vehicles involved carried an entire family, none of whom survived the impact. A chilling video currently circulating on social media shows the wreckage of a car completely flattened beneath the weight of the trailer.
“Nobody came out of that car alive,” one witness said. “It was too late.”
Several other individuals were also reportedly affected by the crash, with survivors rushed to the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Ituku-Ozalla, for urgent medical attention.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the police nor the Dangote Group has issued an official statement regarding the tragic incident.
Public outrage has intensified on social media, with users expressing frustration over what they see as recurring negligence involving Dangote trucks on Nigerian roads.
Activist and social media personality, VeryDarkMan, who previously campaigned for justice following Ruth’s death, has renewed his call for action. He insists that unlicensed Dangote drivers be permanently removed from the roads, citing reports that the driver involved in Ruth’s crash lacked a valid license.
Following Ruth’s death, the Dangote Group claimed it had made arrangements to fly her abroad for treatment – a promise that never materialized before her passing.
Now, as yet another family is wiped out under similar circumstances, Nigerians are once again demanding accountability.
