….war against insecurity cannot be won by government alone – Dikko Radda.

The Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has urged citizens to actively support security efforts by providing actionable intelligence to aid the government in the arrest and elimination of bandits terrorizing communities across the state, iNews Times reports.

Speaking during a mid-term briefing to mark his second year in office, Governor Radda emphasized that the war against insecurity cannot be won by government alone.

Radda stated that his administration will continue to support victims of banditry rather than paying ransoms to the criminals.

He noted that communities must work closely with authorities to provide information that will lead to the arrest or termination of these bandits.

Governor Dikko Radda highlighted the establishment of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps as a key intervention in tackling insecurity.

He acknowledged the progress made so far but noted that more work lies ahead to eradicate banditry.

Radda’s administration is also addressing the root causes of insecurity, such as poverty and unemployment, through investments in agriculture, enterprise development, and healthcare.

In agriculture, Dikko Radda revealed plans to transform Katsina into a net exporter of processed agricultural products, with the procurement of over 400 tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems.

In healthcare, Dikko Radda’s administration has delivered fully functional primary healthcare centers in 158 wards out of 361, and recruited 638 health workers.

He expressed confidence in the path his administration is taking, stating that over 90% of policies outlined in his blueprint have already commenced implementation.

Radda called on citizens to collaborate with authorities to defeat the threat of banditry and build a stable future, emphasizing that governance is a collective effort and that unity and community vigilance are essential to achieving this goal.
