…says we want to ensure DStv customers feel appreciated.

The iNews Times reports that MultiChoice Nigeria has reduced the price of its DStv decoder by 50%, from ₦20,000 to ₦10,000.

According to Chief Executive Officer John Ugbe, the move aims to attract more customers and curb declining subscriptions.

“We want to ensure our customers feel appreciated and have access to the best entertainment every day,” Ugbe said.

The ‘We Got You’ campaign seeks to make premium content more accessible, showcasing DStv’s diverse offerings beyond football.

The company also announced a promotional offer, granting subscribers a free upgrade to the next package tier when they pay for their current plan in full between June 16 and July 31, 2025.

This initiative responds to the economic impact on Nigerians, following a loss of 1.4 million subscribers between March 2023 and March 2025.
