Fayose Fires at Atiku, Tambuwal Over PDP’s Collapse

… Fayose said that his comments were solely aimed at telling Nigerians the truth.

LAGOS, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has accused former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and ex-Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, of being responsible for the collapse of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Fayose made the allegation on Friday while responding to questions during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

According to him, the actions of Atiku and Tambuwal gravely damaged the party, noting that politics, like life itself, is often unfair and unbalanced.

He said he was speaking freely because he is not seeking elective office or personal favours, stressing that his comments were solely aimed at telling Nigerians the truth.

He also touched on the political crisis in Rivers State, saying he never imagined that a rift would arise between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

He recalled being present at the inauguration of Governor Fubara in Rivers State, where he sat at the high table alongside Wike. Fayose said he had privately expressed his desire to caution Fubara against betraying Wike, whom he described as instrumental to his emergence as governor.
