…NCAA invited Comfort Emmanson, Juliana Edward, other members of the Ibom Air cabin crew for further questioning.

ABUJA, NIGERIA – The iNews Times | The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has summoned Comfort Emmanson, Juliana Edward, and members of the Ibom Air cabin crew for further questioning as part of its ongoing investigation into a disruptive incident on a recent flight from Uyo to Lagos.

The summons comes in the wake of a mid-flight altercation on August 10 that drew widespread attention after video clips of the incident went viral on social media.

Speaking at an emergency session of the National Civil Aviation Security Committee and Stakeholders’ Meeting currently underway in Abuja, the NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mr. Michael Achimugu, confirmed that Emmanson had already been engaged by the agency.

“I have spoken with Ms. Emmanson this morning,” Achimugu disclosed to journalists. “We are also inviting the Ibom Air cabin crew for continued investigation on the incident. They will be here tomorrow.”

The NCAA did not disclose further details of the ongoing inquiry but emphasized its commitment to ensuring strict adherence to civil aviation protocols by both airline staff and passengers.

This development marks a significant escalation in the probe as the Authority seeks to establish a clearer picture of what transpired aboard the flight and determine any breaches of passenger or crew conduct regulations.

The outcome of the investigation is expected to shape future disciplinary or regulatory actions in line with NCAA’s mandate to uphold safety and professionalism across Nigeria’s aviation sector.
