ABUJA, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | The naira yesterday weakened in the parallel market, sliding to ₦1,485 per dollar from Monday’s rate of ₦1,475.
In contrast, the currency held steady at ₦1,454 per dollar in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), according to data released by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Consequently, the gap between the parallel market and NFEM rates expanded to ₦31 per dollar, up from ₦21 per dollar on Monday.
