Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that Mohammed Sinwar, a senior Hamas figure and brother of Yahya Sinwar, was killed in an Israeli airstrike, iNews Times reports.
He made the announcement while addressing the parliament, highlighting Israel’s continued efforts to target Hamas leaders.
The iNews Times learnt that Mohammed Sinwar’s death occurred in a May 13 airstrike on a Hamas tunnel complex beneath a hospital in Gaza, where he was believed to be hiding.
Mohammed had taken over as Hamas leader after his brother Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind of the October 7 attacks, was killed by Israeli forces in Rafah.
Israel has been conducting a relentless campaign of targeted assassinations against Hamas leaders.

Other notable Hamas leaders killed by Israel include Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif, Ismail Haniyeh, and Marwan Issa.
