…as transporter attributes the Osisioma expressway accident to excessive speed.

Osisioma, Abia State — The iNews Times | Two women have been confirmed dead following a tragic Osisioma expressway accident along the Enugu–Aba–Port Harcourt Expressway on Thursday.

The crash involved a mini-bus conveying goods that rammed into a parked trailer truck at the Osisioma axis of the busy highway.

Eyewitnesses said the impact led to the immediate death of one of the female passengers, while the second woman died before she could receive medical attention.

The Abia State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ngozi Ezeoma, confirmed the incident, noting that three persons were involved in the accident.

According to her, the victims included one male and two females, with the two women losing their lives as a result of the crash.

A transporter who frequently plies the route, Okechukwu Agbazuo, attributed the Osisioma expressway accident to excessive speed, explaining that the white-and-blue mini-bus lost control before crashing into the stationary truck.
