Anambra Governor’s Wife to Train Women in CCTV Installation

…says training targeted at closing gender gaps in certain areas where there are few or no women offering such services.

AWKA, NIGERIA – The iNews Times | Wife of Anambra state Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo has announced plans to commence training for women in the state in skilled professions, especially those mostly dominated by men.

She said the training is targeted at closing gender gaps in certain areas where there are few or no women offering such services.

In a social media post to announce this, Soludo listed some of the professions in such the ladies will be trained to include: solar/CCTV installation, electrical repairs, carpentry, vehicle and keke mechanic, painting, among others.

She said: “Our aim is to train, mentor, and support a new generation of passionate, skilled workers who will close existing gender gaps and bring unique talents into the field.

“My NGO, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, is now opening up a great platform for girls living in Anambra State to pursue careers in selected professions.

“This is another great opportunity for young, enterprising Anambra ladies who are very passionate about learning new skills and advancing their careers in thriving skill-based occupations.”
