President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep interest and optimism to see the All Progressives Congress (APC) sweeping the stakes to clinch victory at the fast approaching November 8,2025 Anambra State governorship poll, The iNews Times reports.

President Tinubu dropped the hint at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa when he presented the APC flag to Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, who is the Governorship candidate and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife.

Tinubu, while handing over the party’s flag, charged them to “go and get me Anambra,”

An overwhelmed party and top officials of the government who witnessed the brief colourful event described the President’s confidence in APC winning the November 8 poll as heartwarming and very encouraging. It shows the President’s full support and confidence in the candidate and his running mate’s ability to win the election for APC. The President assured the candidates that the party would stand by them “come rain, come shine.”

According to him, “We are going to work with you. We are going to stand with you come rain come shine. “That is all I can assure you. The party is supreme, but victory is superior and very important,” the President said.

Tinubu commended the leadership of the party at both national and state levels for their efforts towards the success of the candidate and the party during the parti gubernatorial primary of the party in April.

He expressed particular happiness on the choice lof Senator Ekwunife as Ukachukwu’s running mate, describing her as a “round peg in a round hole.”

“Distinguished Senator Ekwunife, your choice as our candidate’s running mate is a superlative one. I have no doubt of the party’s victory with you and our flagbearer. We are putting you forward in order to hold the party in trust for us and achieve victory for us. You and our candidate have been described as giant killers, and I wish you both success,” he said.

The flag presentation was attended by prominent party members, including the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and the Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State. The Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.

With the party flag in hand, Ukachukwu and Ekwunife are poised to take on the challenge of winning the Anambra State governorship election.
