‎…“Our troops recorded a major breakthrough by intercepting a Toyota pick-up truck conveying three suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP members in Borno State,” the source said.

‎‎BORNO, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | Troops of the Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI, have intercepted a Toyota pick-up truck transporting three suspected members of Boko Haram/ISWAP in Borno State.

‎Security sources disclosed that the interception occurred at about 8:30 a.m. on Monday. During the operation, troops recovered large quantities of textile materials allegedly intended for producing uniforms used by the terrorists in carrying out attacks across the North-East region.

‎It was gathered that part of the insurgents’ strategy involves wearing similar outfits during operations to easily identify one another.

‎A military officer, who was not authorised to speak to the media, confirmed the development.

‎“Our troops of the Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI, recorded a major breakthrough by intercepting a Toyota pick-up truck conveying three suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP members in Borno State,” the source said.

‎“Items recovered from the vehicle include large textile fabrics meant for making uniforms, 20 Hilux tyre tubes, motorcycle and bicycle spare parts, several cutlasses, and three mobile phones concealed under wooden planks. Several tyres and other materials were also found inside the vehicle.”

‎While the military did not specify the exact location of the incident, it was learnt that the interception occurred along the Magumeri–Gubio road in Borno State.
