‎‎KANO, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | A goods-laden truck has crashed into a stationary trailer in Imawa town, within Kura Local Government Area of Kano State, killing three people.

‎Reports from the area indicate the accident occurred on Monday after the driver allegedly lost control and slammed into the trailer, which had been parked by the roadside due to a mechanical fault.

‎An eyewitness, Zailani Umar Imawa, said residents quickly rushed to the scene after the collision and discovered three occupants in critical condition.

‎“We were sitting nearby when we saw the truck transporting goods crash into the trailer. When we got to the scene, we found the three people inside the truck badly injured,” he said.

‎According to him, officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps later evacuated the victims to a hospital, where the three were confirmed dead on arrival.

‎He added that two other victims were unable to move after the impact, while another was heard calling for help before they were taken away for medical treatment.

‎As of the time of filing this report, the identities of the victims and the owner of the truck had not been confirmed.

‎Meanwhile, the Federal Road Safety Corps in Kano State had yet to release an official statement on the incident.
