Police Nab Vandalized and Stolen Items Dealer in Onitsha

Police in Anambra state have arrested a 40-year old suspected dealer of vandalized items and equipment in Fegge, Onitsha, iNews Times reports.

Spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said the suspect was arrested by Operatives attached to Rapid Response Squad RRS Awkuzu following tip off.

He said bags of copper wires, large quantities of high tension wires, copper coil and other transformer equipment were recovered from the suspect.

He said, “Police Operatives attached to the Rapid Response Squad RRS Awkuzu, acting on credible information on 14th June 2025 by 4.15pm arrested one Maduka ‘M’ aged 40 years at Fegge, Onitsha, a suspected dealer of vandalized items and equipment.   

“The team also recovered bags of vandalized copper wires, large quantities of high tension wires, copper coil and other transformer equipment.

“Given the above, the Operatives are expanding the investigation following the suspect’s confession of where they sell the items in Ogun and Lagos States.”
