Onitsha, Nigeria — The iNews Times | The UDUF Africa leadership election has produced a new set of executives following a successful and credible electoral process held in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The UDUF Africa leadership election took place during the organisation’s 2026 General Election, conducted as part of its Business Meeting and Mentorship Session at the Onitsha Business School.
Stakeholders described the exercise as peaceful, transparent and credible, noting that it reflects the organisation’s commitment to democratic leadership, accountability and integrity.
A total of 44 eligible members were physically present to cast their votes during the UDUF Africa leadership election, with organisers confirming that the process was orderly and aligned with the group’s values of responsible leadership.
At the end of the exercise, several members emerged as winners and were elected into key positions to steer the affairs of the organisation.
Those elected include Dr. Edwin Obioma (Vice President I), Joshua Iheanacho (Vice President II), Precious Ani (Secretary General) and Mrs. Gloria Ezeudo (Assistant Secretary General).
Others are Chira Christiana (Director of Finance), Eke Miracle (Director of Programs), assisted by Joshua Ikechukwu, Owan Itesi (Director of Media), Chukwuemeke Emmanuel (Assistant Director of Media), Onuigbo Godwin (Director of Assets) and Ikenna Ohagwu (Assistant Director of Assets).
Also elected are Mary Okoye (Director for Women Affairs) and Grace Chinemerem Ogbu (Assistant Director for Women Affairs).
The Board of Directors elected Christopher Uchenna as President of UDUF Africa, marking a significant outcome of the UDUF Africa leadership election.
The organisation congratulated the newly elected executives and expressed confidence in their ability to provide visionary leadership and drive its mission forward.
According to organisers, the emergence of the new leadership signals a renewed commitment to advancing the organisation’s objectives across various sectors.
Beyond the election, the event also featured a high-impact business session focused on sales, negotiation and market success, delivered by Christopher Uchenna.
During the session, he emphasised the importance of strategy, research and customer-focused solutions in achieving sustainable business growth.
Participants at the event also engaged in a book review session of Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies by Jim Collins and Jerry I. Porras, where key lessons on building enduring and successful organisations were discussed.
The event was hosted by the Founding President of UDUF Africa, Ezuma Smart Chinedu, who highlighted the importance of mentorship, collaboration and leadership development among young African entrepreneurs.
He stressed that empowering emerging leaders remains central to the organisation’s long-term vision.
Organisers described the gathering as a historic milestone, noting that the combination of leadership transition, mentorship and business training reinforces the organisation’s mission of inspiring and transforming the next generation of leaders across Africa.
They added that the successful conduct of the UDUF Africa leadership election further strengthens the group’s credibility and positions it for greater impact in the future.
