ABUJA, NIGERIA- The iNews Times| Popular Nigerian social media figure, Linus Williams Ifejirika, also known as Blord, has been remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre following his arraignment at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The allegations surrounding the case were brought to public attention through an Instagram post by Martins Vincent Otse (VDM), who detailed his claims against Blord, including alleged forgery and unauthorized use of his identity for promotional purposes.
Blord was arraigned on April 1, 2026, on multiple charges, with the court ordering that he remain in custody for 26 days pending further proceedings. The remand means he is expected to spend the Easter period in detention.
The case has drawn additional attention following allegations made by Martins Vincent Otse, who accused Mr. Linus of fraud and misrepresentation.
According to Otse, Blord allegedly forged flight tickets using his name and falsely claimed that he was scheduled to attend a product launch event in Onitsha. He further alleged that Mr. Linus publicly claimed to have paid him ₦500 million to serve as a brand ambassador, an assertion he strongly denied.
Otse also claimed that Blord used his image without authorization on billboards and promotional materials, falsely presenting him as a brand ambassador for his platform. He maintained that no such agreement existed and described the claims as entirely false.
“I have clearly stated across my social media platforms that I do not engage in advertisements or promotional deals,” Otse said, adding that he has turned down endorsement offers worth over ₦700 million to maintain the integrity of his personal brand.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities have not publicly disclosed full details of the charges against Mr. Linus, while the case continues to generate widespread reactions online.
