AWKA, NIGERIA – The iNews Times reports that the city of Awka witnessed a vibrant political spectacle on Saturday as thousands of supporters from Anambra Central Senatorial District converged at the iconic Alex Ekwueme Square to declare their full support for the re-election of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
Organised by community stakeholders, youth leaders, political influencers, and grassroots mobilisers across the senatorial zone, the rally was more than a show of strength – it was a resounding declaration of confidence in Governor Soludo’s leadership and vision.
Speaking at the event, Barrister Kingsley Onochie, a respected young leader from Obosi, described the gathering as a clear mandate from the people.
“This was not just a rally. It was a referendum on performance. Ndi Anambra Central are saying clearly: ‘Uzo di nma, agaa ya ugboro abuo’ – when the road is good, you travel it again,” he said.
Onochie praised the governor’s performance over the past three years, pointing to key milestones in urban renewal, digital governance, education reform, infrastructure development, and security.
“Governor Soludo has redefined governance in Anambra. His stewardship is marked by discipline, courage, and vision. He is delivering real results, and that’s why the people are standing solidly behind him,” he added.
Referring to the energetic crowd and cross-sectional representation at the rally, Onochie declared:
“Obosi and the entire Anambra Central are united in their resolve. We will deliver a resounding ‘4 + 4’ for Governor Soludo. There is no doubt and no threat to his second term. Our support is solid, unwavering, and unmistakably clear.”
He further noted that today’s rally was a testament to the zone’s belief in continuity.
“We are not just endorsing Soludo; we are endorsing progress. We are endorsing a future that is brighter, bolder, and built on performance.”
As chants of “Solution!” and “4+4!” echoed across the square, the rally cemented Anambra Central’s central role in the re-election movement. With momentum building across the state, the endorsement marks a significant political boost for Governor Soludo’s second-term bid.
