Awka, Nigeria — The iNews Times, reports that the Anambra police ASP promotion ceremony saw over 300 officers of the Anambra State Police Command elevated to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and decorated by Commissioner of Police Ikioye Orutugu.
Decorating the officers at the Command Headquarters in Awka, the police commissioner described the Anambra police ASP promotion as merit-based and well deserved.
He congratulated the newly promoted officers and urged them to rededicate themselves to professionalism, discipline and quality service to residents of the state.
Orutugu emphasized that the Anambra police ASP promotion comes with greater responsibility, charging the officers to uphold the core values of the Force, maintain integrity and sustain public confidence while discharging their duties.
He further reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to boosting morale and strengthening operational efficiency through recognition of diligence, dedication and excellence.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, ASP Eyam Osim expressed appreciation to the Nigeria Police Force leadership, including the Inspector-General of Police, the Assistant Inspector-General in charge of Zone 13, the commissioner of police and the Police Service Commission for approving the promotion.
The event attracted senior police officers, family members and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the achievement of the newly decorated ASPs.
