…FUEK calls on candidates with a passion for quality teacher education and academic excellence to seize the opportunity.

NIGER, NIGERIA – The iNews Times reports that the Federal University of Education, Kontagora (FUEK), Niger State, has officially announced the opening of its Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal for candidates interested in changing their institution of choice ahead of the 2025 academic session.

The development was confirmed in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by the university’s Admission Officer, Mrs Hannatu Dodo.

According to Dodo, the institution is calling on candidates with a passion for quality teacher education and academic excellence to seize the opportunity by selecting FUEK as their preferred first-choice institution.

She stated that candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), as well as holders of the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), are eligible to apply.

“The management of FUEK is pleased to announce that the JAMB portal is now open for change of institution to our university,” Dodo said. “We are inviting qualified candidates to join us in this transformative journey in teacher education.”

She further disclosed that the university is preparing to commence academic activities soon and encouraged interested applicants to visit any accredited JAMB CBT centre nationwide to complete the change of institution process.

“FUEK is committed to raising the next generation of educators. We are focused on grooming competent and professional teachers who will drive excellence across Nigeria’s education sector,” she added.

The Federal University of Education, Kontagora, recently received approval to operate as a full-fledged university of education and aims to become a centre of excellence in teacher training and educational research.
