ABUJA, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has formally recognised the faction of the Peoples Democratic Party’s National Working Committee aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
INEC reflected this update on its official website on Monday, publishing a revised list of the opposition party’s leadership.
Among those listed are Abdulrahman Mohammed as National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary, alongside other members of the party’s national leadership.
Both Mohammed and Anyanwu emerged at the PDP National Convention held on Sunday night at the velodrome of the National Stadium in Abuja.
The National Working Committee members were returned through a consensus arrangement following the dissolution of the party’s national caretaker committee.
The elected officials are as follows:

Samuel Anyanwu — National Secretary
