AWKA, NIGERIA – The iNews Times | The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has dismissed as false and laughable the circulating claim that she issued a response to former Senator Uche Ekwunife, describing the allegations as baseless fabrications not worthy of her time or attention.

In a strongly worded statement on Wednesday, Mrs Soludo categorically denied making any comment directed at Ekwunife, stressing that her current priority is her family and the resumption of the school term.

“My attention has just been drawn to a post going round that Mrs Soludo replied Ekwunife. Not at all!” she stated. “I am too busy with my children as schools resume. Besides, I can’t condescend to replying inanities and fabrications.”

Drawing on Igbo proverbs to drive home her point, she added:

“An Igbo adage says that you don’t exchange words with a madman, otherwise the passersby will not know the difference.”

Mrs Nonye Soludo also addressed a specific claim suggesting that she had a past relationship or interaction with the late former Governor of Anambra State, Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju, describing it as a blatant falsehood.

“For the records, I never met Dr Mbadinuju of blessed memory. NEVER!” she said. “As for the other fabrications—PITIABLE and LAUGHABLE!”

While she did not address Ekwunife directly, Mrs Soludo’s tone made it clear she has no intention of engaging in political mudslinging or online drama.

The statement has stirred further reactions online, with many observers interpreting it as a strategic move to rise above political distractions and maintain dignity in public discourse.

As of the time of filing this report, Senator Uche Ekwunife has not issued a response.
