…PDP National Chairman, National Secretary, and 17 other officials emerged through a consensus arrangement.
ABUJA, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) backed by FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has elected Abdulrahman Mohammed as National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary.
The faction also constituted a new National Working Committee (NWC) during its 2026 National Convention held on Sunday at the velodrome of the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
According to the party’s Constitution (2017, as amended), the NWC comprises 19 members, defining its structure and roles within the party’s leadership.
It was gathered that the National Chairman, National Secretary, and 17 other officials emerged through a consensus arrangement.
Key figures at the convention included Nyesom Wike, Senator Abba Moro, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido, and former Kaduna State Governor Ahmed Makarfi, among others.
