Trump Warns of More Attacks if ISIS Continues Killing Christians in Nigeria

...Trump reiterated that more strikes would follow if the killings persist,

US, NIGERIA – The iNews Times | United States President Donald Trump has cautioned that further military action will be taken if Islamic State (ISIS) militants continue killing Christians in Nigeria, revealing that he personally authorised recent airstrikes against the group in the country’s North-West.

Trump disclosed this on Thursday via his Truth Social platform, confirming that U.S. forces carried out what he described as multiple precision strikes against ISIS operatives in the region.

According to him, the operation followed earlier warnings to the group to halt attacks on Christians or face severe repercussions, stressing that the United States would not tolerate the spread of radical Islamic terrorism.

In a Christmas message, Trump reiterated that more strikes would follow if the killings persist, while commending the U.S. military for executing the operation.

U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth also confirmed the strikes, noting that they sent a strong message to ISIS and were carried out with the cooperation of the Nigerian government.

Similarly, the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) said the December 25, 2025 operation, conducted in coordination with Nigerian authorities, led to the killing of several ISIS fighters in Sokoto State.

The development signals a renewed escalation of U.S. military involvement against ISIS elements operating in Nigeria, in partnership with local security forces.
