ABUJA, NIGERIA The iNews Times | The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has cautioned Nigerians to be vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraudulent recruitment websites as the ongoing intake into Nigeria’s paramilitary agencies continues.
In a statement signed by the board’s Secretary, Maj Gen AM Jibril (Rtd), CDCFIB stressed that the only approved and authentic portal for the recruitment exercise is https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.
According to the board, several fake websites have emerged online, allegedly created by fraudsters with the aim of deceiving unsuspecting job seekers and extorting money from them under the guise of offering employment opportunities.
“These portals are the handiwork of scammers who want to mislead the public. We strongly advise applicants to disregard any website or link apart from the official portal. The board assures that the recruitment process will be completely transparent and free of charge,” the statement read in part.
Maj Gen Jibril further reiterated that no applicant is required to make any form of payment at any stage of the recruitment process, adding that the exercise will be conducted strictly on merit.
He also urged the public to help spread the warning, particularly to rural communities and young job seekers who might be more vulnerable to such scams.
The CDCFIB’s recruitment covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Immigration Service — agencies that play key roles in safeguarding the nation’s security, correctional management, fire response, and immigration control.
As the recruitment continues, applicants are advised to visit the official portal for accurate information, guidelines, and updates on the process.
