‎…the security operation marks a major breakthrough in efforts to weaken the leadership structure and operational capacity of bandit groups in Sokoto State.

‎SOKOTO, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | Combined security operatives have neutralized the notorious bandit Kachalla Na’Allah in a decisive operation in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State, delivering another significant setback to criminal networks terrorizing the region.

A dependable security source confirmed that Na’Allah was fatally shot on Friday during an interception operation between Girnashe and Kuka Tara villages in Tsabre Ward of the local government area.

The source revealed that the operation was carried out by a joint task force comprising Mobile Police and Community Guard personnel, with backing from the Nigerian Army, resulting in the successful elimination of the bandit kingpin.

Na’Allah was said to be a cousin of the notorious bandit leader, Ibrahim Chimmo, who is believed to be active within the Sububu Forest corridor.

According to the source, the security operation marks a major breakthrough in efforts to weaken the leadership structure and operational capacity of bandit groups in Sokoto State.

The development follows closely on the heels of another successful operation in which troops of the Nigerian Army’s 8 Division neutralised a feared bandit kingpin, Kachalla Kallamu, in Sabon Birnin Local Government Area.

In response, the Special Adviser on Security Matters to Governor Ahmad Aliyu, retired Colonel Ahmad Usman, along with local residents, has praised the Nigerian Army and other security agencies for their continued progress in the fight against banditry across the state.
