Tinubu Touches Down in Lagos Ahead of End-of-Year Holidays

‎…Tinubu arrived in Lagos, where he is expected to participate in several engagements during the holiday season.

‎‎LAGOS, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos State to spend the end-of-year holidays after concluding official visits to Borno and Bauchi states.

‎He was received at the presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, other government officials and leaders of the All Progressives Congress.

‎Earlier, it was reported that the President departed Abuja on Saturday for a three-state tour.

‎During his visit to Borno State, Tinubu inaugurated projects carried out by the Babagana Zulum administration in partnership with the Federal Government. He also attended the wedding of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor and Senator, Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem, in Maiduguri.

‎From Borno, the President travelled to Bauchi State, where he paid a condolence visit to the state government and the family of the late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the renowned Islamic scholar and Tijjaniyya leader who passed away on November 27.

‎Following the condolence visit, Tinubu arrived in Lagos, where he is expected to participate in several engagements during the holiday season.

‎One of the highlights of his schedule is the Eyo Festival slated for December 27 at the Tafawa Balewa Square, where he will serve as guest of honour.

‎The festival will honour notable personalities, including the President’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former Lagos State Governors, the late Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
