EDO, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | The Edo State Government has announced the arrest of the founder of Rollo Life of Christ Brethren Ministry, Bishop Gideon Osazee, over allegations that he sexually abused two biological sisters, both minors aged 13 and 17.
In addition to the two sisters, four other girls have reportedly come forward with claims that the cleric had sexual relations with them.
Osazee was arrested by state officials after days of surveillance, according to authorities. The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Eugene Abdullah, disclosed that other children from the church had also reported cases of sexual harassment linked to the suspect.
Faith Edebor of the Vivian Sexual Assault Referral Centre said preliminary investigations corroborated the accounts given by the victims.
However, Bishop Osazee has denied the allegations, stating that he was in a relationship with the older of the two sisters.
