ABUJA, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | Hundeyin, the Police Force Public Relations Officer, is leaving his post in Abuja today, Friday, concluding a five-month tenure widely praised for strengthening the Force’s public communication and digital engagement.
The iNews Times gathered that a senior police officer has been earmarked to succeed him, though the individual’s identity had not been disclosed at press time. Sources at the Force Headquarters confirmed that Hundeyin has been informed of the change and is preparing to hand over the strategic communication responsibilities.
As of around 8 p.m. on Thursday, Hundeyin was still performing his duties as Force spokesman, with an official announcement from the Inspector-General of Police’s office expected on Friday.
