‎‎ENUGU, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have apprehended a suspected commander of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), Sabastine Odo Odam, along with Ejike Daniel, an alleged member of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in separate operations at Eha-Amufu and Umuhu communities in Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State.

‎Security sources said the arrests were carried out on Friday after months of intelligence monitoring of the suspects’ activities. The operation followed a series of violent incidents, including attacks on police facilities and killings recorded between 2024 and 2026.

‎A source disclosed that both suspects allegedly admitted involvement in coordinating several attacks on police stations and the looting of weapons. The incidents reportedly include the killing of 11 labourers in February 2026, two policemen in January 2026, another two officers in December 2025, and one policeman in 2024, among others.
