The Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has revealed that his decision to seek a second term in office in 2027 rests in the hands of God, iNews Times reports.

Otti while speaking at a grand civic reception in his honor, thanked the people of Isiala Ngwa North and South Local Government Areas for their support and endorsement.

The event featured calls for Otti’s re-election in 2027, with notable figures praising his performance and urging him to seek another term.

He however, remained cautious, stating that his stance on the matter would be revealed in due time.

The governor highlighted his administration’s achievements, including investments in Aba and the Abia Airport project.

He explained that the airport’s location was determined by technical merit and that all affected landowners have been fully compensated.

The governor clarified that 100% compensation has been paid to everyone whose land was affected by the airport project.

Adding that any outstanding payments to incorrect account details or multiple claimants for the same land.

Otti welcomed recent defectors to the Labour Party, including Hon. Collins Iheonunekwu and his group, as well as the leadership of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in the state.
