ASATU Pledges support to Soludo

…expresses gratitude to state government for its support, praises Mr Governor’s achievements.

Association of Anambra Town Unions (ASATU) has assured its continued support for the Governor Chukwuma Soludo-led administration, iNews Times reports.

ASATU Youth President, Comrade Ken Okoli gave the assurance at a two-day workshop/seminar organized by youth wing of the Association held at the ASATU Secretariat Complex, Old Government House, Awka.

He expressed gratitude to the state government for its support and praised the Governor’s achievements in just three years in office.

Okoli expressed optimism for more developmental dividends from the “Solution Government.”

Declaring the event open, Governor Soludo described youthfulness as a matter of the heart and emphasized the need for young people to continually evaluate their roles in society and “change gears” when necessary.

Soludo, represented by his Deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim urged the youth to justify the trust and resources invested in them.

He stressed that effective leadership at all levels requires both leaders and followers to play their parts diligently.

He highlighted the ongoing infrastructural and socio-economic development across the state under the Soludo administration.

Also speaking, Commissioner for Youth Empowerment, Comrade Patrick Agha Mba, lauded the growing involvement of youth in governance.

He reaffirmed that Governor Soludo remains committed to youth empowerment and will continue to pursue policies that uplift young people in Anambra.

The event attracted top government officials, past ASATU presidents, civil society organizations and other stakeholders from across the state.

The seminar was themed: “The Role of ASATU in Deepening and Consolidating Leadership, Security, Governance, and Value System for Community Development” in line with the Solution Agenda of Mr. Governor.
