ANAMBRA, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has approved the appointment of several key state officials and special advisers as part of efforts to reinforce governance and enhance service delivery in Anambra State.
The appointments, announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Aburime, take immediate effect.
According to the statement, Barr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Iwouno has been appointed as the new Head of Service, while Barr. Joachin Peters Anetoh assumes office as Principal Secretary to the Governor. Dr. Ben Nwankwo was named Chief of Staff to the Governor, and Prof. Frank-Collins Okafor will serve as the State Chief of Protocol.
In the legal sector, Barr. Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN, has been appointed Attorney-General of the State, while Mr. Christian Aburime continues in his role as Chief Press Secretary.
Other appointments include Dr. Vincent Egbuna Okechi as Deputy Chief of Staff and Ms. Ngozi Lucy Okoye as Deputy State Chief of Protocol.
Governor Soludo also approved the appointment of several special advisers across critical sectors. Dr. Godwin Nnadozie will oversee Medicals and Pharmaceuticals, while Ms. Chinwe Okoli has been appointed Special Adviser on Innovation and Business Incubation, in addition to serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Solution Innovation District.
Prof. (Engr) Ebuka Nwankwo takes on the role of Special Adviser on Special Projects and Director of Project Evaluation and Monitoring, while Mr. Ken Emeakayi has been appointed Special Adviser on Community Security.
The statement noted that the appointments are aimed at strengthening the administrative structure of the state and ensuring effective implementation of government policies and programmes.
Governor Soludo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering good governance and sustainable development, urging the appointees to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the service of the state.
