Tinubu adviced on Student Loans

…says direct disbursement of the student loans would enable the government track who is responsible for repayment.

The iNews Times reports that the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Badagry, Rt. Rev. Babatunde Adeyemi, has recommended that the Nigeria Education Loan Fund disburse student loans directly to beneficiaries.

The Bishop insists that the move would promote transparency and accountability in the scheme.

Speaking at the 3rd Session of the 7th Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Badagry, Adeyemi emphasized that direct disbursement would enable the government to track who is responsible for repayment.

He also suggested involving parents of beneficiaries in the process.

The Bishop praised President Bola Tinubu for signing the Student Loans (Access to Higher Education) (Repeal and Re-enactment) Bill into law, aimed at guaranteeing sustainable higher education for Nigerian students and youths.

Adeyemi urged parents to pass on valuable legacies to their children, including instilling the fear of God and His love.

He commended the Lagos State Government for its road projects, highlighting the importance of both spiritual and infrastructural development.
