…one of the most interesting statements in the ongoing US-Tehran peace deals talks came straight from president Donald Trump himself

WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES — The iNews Times reports that if a peace deal is not reached by Tehran and iran, the united states will continue to keep its blockade of Iranian ports as President Donald Trump made it clear as he even hinted the current ceasefire when it expires next Wednesday

Iran had reopened the Strait of Hormuz on Friday following a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon. But Tehran has already threatened to shut the vital waterway again if the American blockade continues.

Speaking to reporters late Friday aboard Air Force One, Trump said: “Maybe I won’t extend it, but the blockade is going to remain.”

When asked about the chances of striking a peace deal, the president sounded confident. “I think it’s going to happen,” he said.

However differences still exist between what Washington and Tehran are demanding. Earlier attempts at talks in Pakistan had failed to produce any agreement.

Trump also made it plain there will be “not going to be tolls” imposed by Iran on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz a demand the Islamic Republic had pushed in former negotiations.

In a post on his Truth Social page, Trump said China’s President Xi Jinping was “very happy” about the global oil chokepoint reopening. He added that their planned summit in Beijing next month “will be a special one and, potentially, Historic.”

The president further insisted that under any final deal to end the conflict which started on February 28, Washington and Tehran would jointly transfer Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium to the United States.
Iran’s foreign ministry however has already pushed back, saying its uranium stockpile “would not be transferred anywhere.”

As the development comes ceasefire would end in a short time. Observers say the tight approach on the blockade could complicate efforts to reach a lasting agreement.

The iNews Times understands that both sides are still engaged in behind-the-scene discussions but the gap between their positions remains wide.

As the clock ticks down to the peacedeal deadline, all eyes will be on whether Trump follows through on his threat or if last-minute diplomacy can still produce a breakthrough.

The iNews Times will continue to monitor developments in this fast-moving US-Iran situation and bring verified updates to readers worldwide.
