‎EDO, NIGERIA- The iNews Times| ‎A suspected operator of a cybercrime training centre, popularly known as a “Yahoo school,” Goodluck Ejimiyare, has been sentenced to five years imprisonment by C. A. Obiozor of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin City.

‎

‎Ejimiyare was initially arrested by troops of the Nigerian Army 4 Brigade alongside 17 youths at a facility known as “Hustle Kingdom,” before being handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for further investigation.

‎During interrogation, several of the youths reportedly confessed to being recruited into the operation, which authorities described as a hub for training individuals in internet fraud.

‎The EFCC arraigned Ejimiyare on March 30, 2026, on a one-count amended charge of conspiracy to commit internet fraud alongside one Ebuka Henry Eze, who remains at large.

‎

‎He pleaded guilty to the charge, leading the prosecution counsel, Elodi Immaculate, to request his conviction.

‎

‎Delivering judgment, the court sentenced him to five years imprisonment, with an option of a ₦1 million fine. The court also ordered the forfeiture of his mobile phone and mandated that he sign an undertaking to maintain good behaviour.
