‎…Residents of Kajuru communities have expressed anguish over the recurring assaults,

‎‎ABUJA, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | Kajuru Local Government Area witnesses coordinated terrorist attacks on Maro and Kallah communities, heightening fear among residents.

‎The first attack occurred in Kallah, Kallah Ward, on March 2, 2026, followed by a second in Bauda community, Maro Ward, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in broad daylight.

‎‎Multiple credible sources who spoke in confidence said the assailants stormed the village, shooting sporadically and causing widespread panic.

‎One resident was abducted and taken to an unknown destination.

‎Three others sustained severe gunshot injuries during the assault.

‎‎The victims, Mr Josiah Abashiya, 53; Mrs Josiah Hadiza, 41; and Mr Daniel Kwanaki, 47, were rushed to an undisclosed medical facility, where they are currently receiving treatment.

‎‎Earlier on Monday, the terrorists also attacked the Kallah community in Kallah Ward of the same local government area, abducting 13 residents.

‎‎Those kidnapped were identified as Audu Obaina, Talatu Audu, Friday Audu, Beauty Friday, Jerry Audu, Jonah Philemon, Jumare Philemon, Juliet Philemon, Joel Philemon, Baby Philemon, Ephraimu Diwa and Esther Ephraimu.

‎‎Additionally, one person, Diwa Makama, sustained injuries during the Kallah attack and is said to be receiving medical attention.

‎Residents of Maro and Kallah wards have expressed anguish over the recurring assaults, lamenting that communities across Kajuru LGA continue to live in fear as attacks persist.

‎They called on security agencies and the Kaduna State Government to intensify efforts to secure lives and property in the area.

‎‎A security source hinted that a quick response from nearby security personnel reduced the impact of the attack on Tuesday.

‎‎As of the time of filing this report, both the Kaduna State Police Command and the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs had not made any public statement on the incidents.
