…Governor Soludo welcomed the officials into what he described as “Team Solution 2.0,”
ANAMBRA, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | Chukwuma Soludo, the Anambra State Governor, on Wednesday, inaugurated the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs Chiamaka Nnake, alongside several newly appointed top government officials.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Executive Council Chamber of the Government House, popularly known as the “Light House” in Awka, where the governor urged the appointees to deliver efficient and impactful service to the people of the state.
Mrs Nnake and the other officials took their oaths of office at about 12:47 pm.
Earlier, the former Solicitor-General, Mrs Ngozi Iwouno, administered the oath of office to the new Attorney-General, Tobechukwu Nweke, who subsequently swore in the rest of the appointees.
While addressing them, Governor Soludo welcomed the officials into what he described as “Team Solution 2.0,” noting that each member was carefully selected after a thorough screening process.
Soludo explained that the appointments represent the first phase of a broader plan, emphasizing that the roles should be seen as a call to serve rather than an opportunity for personal gain.
Soludo congratulated the appointees on their selection but also reminded them of the demanding nature of public service, urging them to embrace sacrifice and responsibility in the interest of Ndi Anambra.
He further stressed the importance of the oath of office, encouraging them to reflect on its meaning and use it as a guiding principle throughout their service.
Highlighting the need for teamwork, the governor described governance as a collective effort driven by collaboration, coordination, and shared purpose.
He also appealed to families and associates of the appointees to avoid placing undue pressure on them, noting that their primary responsibility is to serve the state.
Among those sworn in are Mrs Ngozi Iwouno as Head of Service; Joachim Anetoh as Principal Secretary to the Governor; Dr Ben Nwankwo as Chief of Staff; Prof. Frank-Collins Okafor as State Chief of Protocol; and Uzochukwu Okafor as Commissioner for Finance.
Others include Tobechukwu Nweke as Attorney-General; Christian Aburime as Chief Press Secretary; Dr Vincent Okechi as Deputy Chief of Staff; and Ms Ngozi Okoye as Deputy State Chief of Protocol.
Also appointed are Dr Godwin Nnadozie as Special Adviser on Medicals and Pharmaceuticals; Ms Chinwe Okoli as Special Adviser on Innovation and Business Incubation/CEO of Solution Innovation District; Prof. Ebuka Nwankwo as Special Adviser on Special Projects and Director of Project Evaluation and Monitoring; and Ken Emeakayi as Special Adviser on Community Security.
