ABUJA, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | The South-East chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has affirmed its readiness to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election ahead of the upcoming presidential poll.
This stance was outlined in a communiqué released following the APC South-East Zonal Expanded Executive Meeting, which was shared with journalists in Abuja on Sunday.
The meeting, chaired by APC National Vice Chairman Ijeomah Arodiogbu, brought together newly elected party chairmen from Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo states, alongside other members of the zonal executive committee.
Arodiogbu explained that discussions focused on issues affecting party unity, growth, and electoral prospects in the South-East, especially as political actors begin aligning ahead of future elections.
He stated, “The South-East Zonal Executive Committee reaffirms its full and unwavering support for the re-election of His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the forthcoming election.”
The committee also pledged support for APC governors and other elected party officials across the region.
“The Committee likewise reiterates its unalloyed support for all APC governors in the zone, as well as all elected representatives and officials of the party at federal, state, and local levels,” the communiqué read.
In its resolutions, the zonal leadership called on members across the five South-East states to unite and strengthen the party’s electoral prospects. It also emphasised the importance of internal cohesion to grow membership and enhance performance in future elections.
“The meeting resolved that party members and leaders across the South-East shall work together with a shared commitment to deliver comprehensive electoral victories for the APC in the presidential, National Assembly, governorship, and State House of Assembly elections across the zone,” Arodiogbu added.
The APC leader urged party faithful to continue supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of Tinubu while advancing the party’s wider political goals.
