‎…Ted Cruz further argued that the presence of Sharia law in some states, has allowed extremist violence to persist.

‎U. S- The iNews Times| Ted Cruz has accused Nigerian authorities of failing to adequately address violence against Christians, alleging that officials have been complicit in worsening insecurity.

‎He further argued that the presence of Sharia law in some states, combined with what he described as government inaction, has allowed extremist violence to persist.

‎

‎“More Christians are killed for their faith in Nigeria than anywhere else in the world,” he said, adding that tens of thousands have reportedly been killed since 2009, alongside widespread destruction of churches, schools, and religious institutions.

‎

‎Cruz also alleged that Nigerian officials have “looked the other way” as attacks occur, warning that such conditions continue to fuel further violence.

‎

‎The claims add to ongoing international scrutiny of Nigeria’s security situation, particularly concerning religious freedom and the protection of vulnerable communities.
