BORNO, NIGERIA- The iNews Times | Troops of the Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI, have intercepted a Toyota pick-up truck transporting three suspected members of Boko Haram/ISWAP in Borno State.
Security sources disclosed that the interception occurred at about 8:30 a.m. on Monday. During the operation, troops recovered large quantities of textile materials allegedly intended for producing uniforms used by the terrorists in carrying out attacks across the North-East region.
It was gathered that part of the insurgents’ strategy involves wearing similar outfits during operations to easily identify one another.
A military officer, who was not authorised to speak to the media, confirmed the development.
