Yola, Nigeria — The iNews Times, Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is positioned to make significant gains ahead of the 2027 general elections, following his formal registration as a member of the party.

Atiku, who completed his registration on Thursday in Yola, Adamawa State, confirmed the development in a post on X on Friday, where he also shared photographs of himself receiving his ADC membership card and a customised “Waziri 01” jersey.

The brief but symbolic event attracted a sizeable crowd of supporters, the party leaders, and local stakeholders who gathered to witness the political veteran’s official entry into the party.
