…says traders are fully in support of Soludo’s re-election.

The iNews Times reports that the President-General of the Building Materials International Market, Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Jude Nwankwo has emphasized the need for Ndi Anambra to re-elect Professor Charles Soludo for a second term.

Nwankwo who disclosed this in a chat with newsmen called on various stakeholders traders, non-indigenes, and Anambrarians at large to support Soludo’s administration and ensure his re-election in the upcoming poll.

“As the President-General of the Building Materials International Market, Ogidi, both myself and the traders are fully in support of Soludo’s re-election.

“The Governor’s infrastructural development initiatives in the state are highly commendable,” he added.

Nwankwo, a respected trade union leader, popularly known as Jollity, observed that insecurity had plagued the state even before Soludo assumed office as Governor.

He credited Soludo with addressing this challenge through the implementation of the Homeland Security Law and confronting the root causes of insecurity.

Attributing the rise in insecurity to the lifestyle of modern youths, the market leader described the situation as one where “survival of the fittest” has become the norm.

He lamented that many young people now believe wealth can only be acquired through diabolical means.

“The practices of Ezenwoke and Ezenwanyi, which have morphed into Oke-Ite and Awele, are designed to destroy our teeming youths.

“Ndigbo are traditionally known for their hard work, but recently, it has become the norm to acquire wealth through any means without genuine effort. This get-rich-quick mentality led to an upsurge in kidnapping and the irrational pursuit of wealth.

“But today, Anambra State is sanitized, thanks to the efforts of our hardworking Governor. We appreciate his swift action,” said Chief Nwankwo.

The Ochendo of Umuawulu praised Professor Soludo’s achievements in the area of security, noting that people now travel with their expensive cars and move about freely.

He also highlighted numerous completed infrastructure projects, including roads, flyovers, and bridges both in Awka, the state capital, and across local government areas.

“Soludo has also performed excellently in other sectors, including healthcare delivery, the employment of over 8,000 teachers, youth empowerment through the One Youth, Two Skills initiative, the construction of a new Government House, and advancements in agriculture, among others.

“So you can see why Soludo deserves to be re-elected to complete his second tenure. Anambra is free and safe today because of Soludo’s effective and good governance. We cannot afford to return to the dark days of infrastructural decay, political thuggery, and the reckless sharing of our state’s resources.

“Therefore, I urge Ndi Anambra not to be deceived by various political actors. Let us focus on re-electing Soludo,” he added.
