…decision follows recent concerns by airline operators over the soaring cost of aviation fuel.
ABUJA, NIGERIA- The iNews Times| Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a 30 per cent reduction in charges owed by airlines to key aviation agencies, in a move aimed at easing financial pressure on operators.
The Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, disclosed that the directive was communicated during an official engagement, describing it as a timely intervention to support the struggling aviation sector.
The discount applies to outstanding debts owed to agencies such as the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and Nigerian Airspace Management Agency.

Industry stakeholders had earlier called for financial relief, including debt waivers, to prevent operational shutdowns and maintain stability in Nigeria’s air transport sector.
