‎The discount applies to outstanding debts owed to agencies such as the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and Nigerian Airspace Management Agency.

‎

‎The decision follows recent concerns by airline operators over the soaring cost of aviation fuel, which had raised fears of possible flight disruptions or fare hikes.

‎

‎Industry stakeholders had earlier called for financial relief, including debt waivers, to prevent operational shutdowns and maintain stability in Nigeria’s air transport sector.
