‎‎ABUJA, NIGERIA- The iNews Times| The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has dismissed a viral video circulating online as false and misleading, stating that it was not issued by the Commission.

‎

‎The ICPC clarified that it has not released any report or statement supporting the allegations contained in the video, including claims of a supposed N50 billion bribery case involving legal practitioners and judicial officers.

‎

‎“To clarify, the ICPC is not conducting an investigation into any individual, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), group of lawyers, or judicial officer concerning the fictitious N50 billion bribe mentioned in the video,” the statement said.

‎

‎The Commission stressed that no such case or transaction exists in its records, urging the public to disregard the claims entirely.

‎

‎Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and due process, the ICPC emphasized that all its investigations are evidence-based and conducted in line with the law.

‎

‎It also issued a stern warning to those behind the video, stating that the misuse of its name to spread disinformation would not be tolerated and that those responsible will face legal consequences once identified.
