ABIA, NIGERIA- The iNews Times| The Umunneochi Traditional Rulers’ Advisory Council has conferred the chieftaincy title of “Ike Oha 1 of Umunneochi” on Bola Ahmed Tinubu in recognition of his support for the community.
The title, which translates to “the strength of the people,” was bestowed during a civic reception held at Amuda Isuochi in honour of former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha.
Chairman of the council, Franklin Ohalezim, said the honour was a gesture of appreciation for the president decision to appoint Onyejeocha into his cabinet, giving the community a voice at the national level.
Responding on behalf of the president, Donatus Nwankpa expressed gratitude to the traditional rulers for the recognition and their continued support.
He also conveyed Tinubu’s encouragement for Onyejeocha to pursue her political ambitions, noting that her resignation from office was not easily accepted.
