…Temitope lured and deceived the baby’s 20-year-old mother, drugged her before stealing the infant – Police.

Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have apprehended a 49-year-old woman, Joy Temitope, for allegedly stealing a two-month-old baby in Koko, Delta State, iNews Times reports.

According to the police, Temitope lured and deceived the baby’s 20-year-old mother, drugged her, and fled with the infant.

The iNews Times however learnt that the police acted on intelligence-driven policing to track down and arrest Temitope three months after the incident.

The baby boy, now five months old, was rescued and reunited with his relieved mother.

The arrest was confirmed by the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, in a statement on Monday.

The police effort highlights their commitment to solving crimes in the state.
